Really enjoyed this video, Nick. Mark is clearly a 'character' and worthy of respect. It's good that he relaxed and forgot about the camera, just chatting in a really engaging way. Passion, imagination and yet feet firmly on the ground. I wish him the very best for his future plans for The Brick and the travel links. P.S. you've typo'd him as Marl in your video header.
I expect you're planning on doing so but interviews with other business owners being impacted would make a great series. Great local journalism.
This was originally called The Red Brick before he found out Everton fans needed a pub! Fun fact
Back in May, for last game from Australia, Harlech over the road was always my pre match pint, but will be calling in the brick for a couple now after this - great video Nick.
remember going to The Brick last year when I went to see Everton for the last time and Mark there drinking a cup tea from a mug that read KAGS 😄👍🏻🇨🇿
I’m glad you did this video. I often wonder and mention how the establishments on County Road are going to be impacted by Everton’s move to BMD. It’s going to really hit them hard.
Surely they'll provide/start a shuttle service from existing drinking areas?
I also clearly remember when it was the red brick... maybe early 90's
He's a great lad Mark, always has been.
What a great fella
Great info about the shuttle buses . Brilliant video
Great video always wanted to find this pub. In fact last time I was up for a game, Wolves in December we went to a cafe just round the corner and didn't realise it was so close!
Good one that, Nick. I wish Mark and the rest of the business owners all the best.
I couldn't help but laugh when you said, "What's a 100 metres between friends?". I hope you didn't use that same line on the judge 🤣
Your a Legend Mark well done Lad proud of you Go The Brick
red brick pub not far from down road from old eveton at Glaston park hope future for red brick pub great land lord and great video
Its strange because walking from Scotland road up to county road no longer, it feels sad. Yet the new stadium is 10 minutes 👌🏻
Isn't the original name the red brick
I mean the councils parking zone has made getting to that ground an absolute nightmare so be lots of people game for transport to and from the game
The brick pub where they only serve bitter
Trophy Bitter.
Great to hear an honest and realistic assessment of the travel arrangements to the Everton Stadium. Everyone's routine will change and adapt as they get used to the best way to get there. It wiil take time!
Good Luck to The Brick and in its plans for coaches to the ground. Where to next Nick?
Gonna be travelling over from N,Ireland on the weekend of 17th May for our final game at Goodison, no ticket but want to just say goodbye to the Grand old Lady. Hopefully grab a pint or 2 in The Brick. 💙💙💙
We're from Darlington nd been in a few times on a match day. Brilliant pub

Alright mark you looked a bit nervous at the start by the way mark it's beglley mate see you soon
Don't like saying this but the ground could be in the wrong place
Too near town
Yellow lines everywhere
Deffo no stopping
I was wondering what would happen to our famous brick. Great vid mate 👍
Great content again Nick 💙👊💙
Only 2 miles from the new stadium
This is a great interview.. one of the best I've seen regarding our move to BMD.. 💙
Best pub in town
Should knock 3 sides of goodison down keep the park end and build A .u h smaller stadium 20 k a d have both everton and Liverpool ladies play their .half the capacity double the games. Same amount of people 😅
Great idea Mark. you would have got an handsome bonus for that idea if you worked for the council. But someone in a suit will take the praise and the bonus.
Dear Mister Drone,
I wanted to express my admiration for your work. As a magazine publisher, I have a deep appreciation for creativity and talent. Interestingly, my dad’s first cousin played for Everton, so I like to think I have some "blue blood" in me!
I've been attending matches at Goodison Park since the early '80s and have witnessed the best Everton teams in the mid 80’s. It’s quite a contrast to the present day, isn't it? 😢
I always visit The Winslow, which, without a doubt, is the best Everton pub in Liverpool. There's even a portrait of my second cousin, Tommy Ring, hanging at the entrance!
I imagine and hope that you got a few bob for the "Promotion." As a magazine publisher, I understand the importance of making a living and have never apologized for it.
If you have a moment, please give Dave at The Winslow a call. He's an absolute gentleman and shares my Irish heritage!
Great interview, by the way!
Andy Ring.
Unfortunately I cannot see any coach been allowed to park even for drop-off anywhere within 30 mins walk.hope I'm wrong
Could be more than 50 coaches goin to the ground
I think they’ll be able to drop off at the same place as the park and ride buses as basically they’re doing the same thing
The only place on Merseyside mancs are allowed. Best boozer by a country mile🇾🇪⚽️ .Been goin since 1994....💕💕💕
And you’re proud of that they are allowed? Shame on you. It will close soon enough that pub
@tonysumner9474 Why u thinking of pushing it over ?
@samsmart3861 ?????know your face lol yanited
It wil shut with in 2 years
Great pub, lots of memories. Cheers Mark. We hope to visit the Brick again soon. Maastricht Everton UTFT 💙
Excellent interview. But let’s make no bones about it, the boozer won’t survive 5 years without it.
